About Us


We have shipped and traded in fine wine and spirits from around the world since 1979 and are well-known for our expertise, knowledge and reliability in wine wholesale. As an independent wine merchant, we are not reliant upon agencies and are therefore able to offer unbiased advice and flexibility. Most of our wines are derived from family-owned estates, often steeped in history so we can confidently curate a wine list that is unique and inviting to all palates.


Whilst we are primarily a Wine Merchant to the hotel and restaurant trade, proudly supplying some of the finest establishments in London and the surrounding counties, we also have a dedicated network of private clients UK-wide.


At Wineservice we take great pride in the level of service we provide. We hope that the combination of our excellent product range, personal service, consultancy and training will ensure a long and successful relationship with all who choose to work with us. Our team is on hand with any recommendations or to answer any questions, to ensure customers make the most of the wine buying experience. Due to the coronavirus, we are currently waiving our delivery fee UK-wide for full case purchases, and providing non-contact deliveries in accordance with government guidelines.

We have worked with Wineservice since 1989, and the relationship has developed from supplying a single bottle of Chateau Tabuteau Bordeaux for a guest, to becoming our company’s leading wine supplier. Over the years, we have owned and operated other hotels including The Richmond Gate in Richmond, King Edwards Place near Swindon, The Elvetham in Hampshire and Hotel Chateau Tilques in Northern France, and with each new venture Wineservice was able to adapt, support and supply our venues without issue.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Wineservice is a member of the BII (British Institute of Inn Keeping). We receive invaluable professional support as we work with the licensed hospitality industry. BII does a great deal to promote and support the licensed hospitality industry and to improve its perception across society.
Wineservice supports responsible drinking and operates Challenge 25. Upon delivery of alcoholic beverages by our own drivers, where it appears that the recipient is under the age of 25, Wineservice will request photographic identification in the form of a driver’s licence or passport to confirm that the recipient is above the age of 18 By placing an order on the Wineservice website, you confirm that you are at least 18 year’s old.

Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS)

The Alcohol Wholesaler registration Scheme (AWRS) was introduced on 1 April 2016 by HMRC to tackle alcohol fraud. Wineservice’s application under this scheme was approved on 8 August 2016. Our AWRS Unique Reference Number (URN) is: XTAW00000100686.
