Our Story
Wineservice have shipped and traded in fine wine and spirits from around the world since 1979 and are well-known for our expertise, knowledge and reliability in wine wholesale. Whilst we are primarily wine merchants to the hotel and restaurant trade, we also service private clients too. Take a look at our wines list, as well as our pre-selected wine cases for private individuals.
As an independent wine merchant, we are not reliant upon agencies and are therefore able to offer unbiased advice and flexibility. Most of our wines are derived from family-owned estates, often steeped in history so we can confidently curate a wine list that is unique and inviting to all palates.
At Wineservice we take great pride in the level of service we provide. We hope that the combination of our excellent product range, service, consultancy and training will ensure a long and successful relationship with all who choose to work with us.
Meet The Team
Michael Ritchie
Operations Director
Michael is well-versed in customer care and relationship management having worked at Waitrose for 6 years in a management position. He joined Wineservice in April 2014 and has successfully completed his WSET wine exams and continues to expand his knowledge of the wine trade.
Michael works closely with customers to develop and design wine lists tailored to each of their needs, and escorts customers on wine excursions to France and Italy to develop trusting relationships.

Connel Davis
Buying & Sales Executive
Connel originally joined Wineservice in 2020 for a brief period before heading off to university. Now back with us, he has embarked on his WSET journey and is on track to complete his Level 3 certification in 2025. Connel works closely with Michael, handling customer orders, managing purchase orders, and maintaining stock organisation in our cellars. He also assists in picking and packing customer orders.
Graham Brook
Logistics & Deliveries
Graham has been a valued team-member for 15+ years. He delivers our wine safely and expediently to customers across London and the South-East. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with Restaurant and Stores Managers ensuring that their requirements are always met.
Graham manages the cellars to allow for an organised environment from which wines can be easily picked ready for delivery.
Nick is the Managing Director of Wineservice. He follows in his late father’s footsteps by bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience earned from an honourable 31 years in the trade. Nick has travelled many miles across the world’s vineyards to develop a thorough understanding of the wines we source and the customers we serve.
Nick is father to two sons, Charles and Elliot Hillman, both of whom have enjoyed harvest time at wineries in Argentina and France.
